1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply to the website at tekstructa.com and to every app, calculation, report and drawing it provides (together, "the Services"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Who the Services are for

The Services are intended for structural and civil engineers and for students working under the supervision of a qualified engineer. You confirm that you have the training to understand the methods used, to judge whether they suit your project and to recognise results that are unreasonable.

3. No professional advice

The Services perform calculations. They do not give engineering advice and they do not create a professional or client relationship between you and TekStructa. Nothing in the Services is a design approval or a certification.

4. Your responsibilities

• Check that your inputs, units, loads, materials and geometry are correct and complete.
• Confirm that the design code edition, assumptions and limitations of each app apply to your project and to your jurisdiction.
• Verify all results independently, for example by hand calculation or other software, before relying on them.
• Apply your own engineering judgment, and the review and approval procedures your project requires.

5. Accuracy and availability

We work to make the apps accurate and test them against hand calculations and reference results. Even so, software can contain errors, design codes can be interpreted differently and results can be affected by rounding, browser behaviour or connection problems. We do not guarantee that the Services are free of errors, complete, up to date with every code amendment, or available at all times. We may change, suspend or withdraw any app or feature at any time.

6. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TekStructa and its owners, employees and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including structural failure, property damage, personal injury, delay, redesign cost, loss of profit or loss of data, arising from your use of the Services or reliance on their results. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid TekStructa for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if the Services were free.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• send automated or excessive requests to the Services, or use them to build a competing product or data set;
• attempt to copy, decompile or reverse engineer the calculation engines or the server;
• interfere with the security, availability or performance of the Services;
• use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

We may limit or block access that breaks these rules.

9. Intellectual property

The Services, including the software, calculation methods as implemented, design and content, belong to TekStructa and are protected by copyright and other laws. You keep ownership of the inputs you enter, and you may use the reports and drawings you generate in your own projects, subject to these terms.

10. Free beta and future plans

The apps are currently free while in beta. We may introduce accounts, paid plans or usage limits in the future. If we do, we will publish the relevant terms before they apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you continue to use the Services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
